2023 in english

In May Coosheen Finbarr ( Glencarrig Prince- Scarteen Mistral) came back home after 6 years with Annika and Stefan Zander. He had very clear declared that someting didn’t suit him anylonger. Guess it was the fact that they now were three working stallions.

Back home he at once returned to his old him, pleased to meet his field, his stable and maybe also his groom, all the same. We enjoy having him back just outside our windows.

Finbarr had had a great time with the Zander’s and they took really good care of him- a five * home. Turning 23 he thought his own company was enough ( male company). He was always meant to come back home one day.

Back home!!

In June Ashbrook Diamond ( Ashbrook Thunder- Ballowen Decca Belle) arrived at our farm. A yearling filly we couldn’t resist. Diamond replace our son’s mare Lofty Rohannah whom we sadly lost two years ago. Saying that, Olof is a partowner of Diamond!

Diamond adopted very fast to her new enviroment. She is brave, curious and forwardgoing. Luckily she listens and seems to be a fast learner. She will be used for riding as well as breeding. She is rather big which suits my family. Until now she is ”a diamond”.

Diamond is bred by Macdara Mac Lochlainn, New Inn, Co Galway.

Blakehill Rolo (Cnocban Cassanova – Lofty Roisin) would become a broodmare but…. I am still riding her and enjoy it so much. She is like a really good mare, hard working, always try to do her best. Showed her once 2023 where she won her class and was awarded a golden medal. After that she went on to win the ridden class as well.

She loads my battery every day!

The plan is to cover her 2025. More photos under ” Broodmares”

It has been a pleasure to follow Malin Sundberg doing so well in dressage, competing among the big horses. She rides two of Finbarr’s progeny Big’s Freestyel and Big’s Charleston both going back to our great broodmare Beezies Bounty ( Julia Hession) . Their breeder is Jette Hansen.

Glenayre Mystique (Grange Bobbing Sparrow- Glenayre Mystical Lady) is the eldest in our ”herd”, but I can tell you, she doesn’t know and definitely doesn’t want to.

Today she is a much loved childpony both in the stable and out hacking. A pony with a big place in my heart and Ossian’s heart.

There are 23 years between them, Misty and my grandson Ossian.

In September we sold Ravello ( Coosheen Finbarr -Zander’s Aruba ( Bunowen Paddy). He is a wonderful , easy pony and we really miss him. He moved north 700 km and is now a much loved pony to Helene. We wish them all the best.

We bought Ravello as a foal as a companion to my daughter in law’s young horse.
